CNA in Alaska

Requirement for CNA training in Alaska:

• Individual should have High School Diploma or GED or you can also go for ABLE test.
• Have to complete the CNA training programs which are approved by the state provision.

Duration of CNA training program in Alaska:

According to the Alaska state provision one must have completed:

• 60 hours of classroom CNA training
• 80 hours of on-job or clinical CNA training program

CNA Certification in Alaska:

Similar to other states Alaska also has two different types of exam which are:

• Written Test: It include all questions related to your classroom CNA training and written material provided in the training.
• Skill Test: It tests your basic skills along with all physical strength, willingness, patience and all the tasks related to your clinical or on-job CNA training. Usually in your skill test your examiner will ask you to do around 5 tasks from 30 tasks you have taught at your clinical CNA training.

These would be conducted under the supervision of Licensed or Registered Nurse.

According to the Alaska Department of Labor wages data CNA wages ranges from $12.40 to $19.00 which means on average of $13.00 per hour. It is quite a good compensation in comparison of some other states.
