After deciding CNA as a career, you have to select the perfect CNA classes which will lead your life straight to the path of success. There are a number of centers where you can receive the CNA class. Many high schools, nursing care facilities, vocational centers and even at Red Cross you can begin with your CNA class. CNA training consist of CNA class room training where you will learn theory as well as you will get on-job training under the supervision of registered nurse.

In CNA class, there are a variety of CNA programs like medical, professional and soft skills. During CNA program classes you will learn daily activities of nurse assistant like, keeping patience, interaction with patients and all basic CNA training. Apart from this you will be taught instructions related to nutrition, infection control, physiology etc. which will expertise you in all other basic CNA responsibilities like grooming and helping patients.

Usually registered or licensed nurse RN teaches you in the CNA class. CNA classes teach you the basics of Certified Nursing Assistant training theory which will provide fundamentals of medical like helping patients, soft skills, patience and calmness. You will be provided with handouts and textbooks.

The CNA class’s duration varies according to the centers and states which can take classes for 3 or 4 weeks or few months. The CNA classes which take few weeks may require previous experience. Lookout for CNA classes which offer free courses. You can also opt for online CNA classes but for practical part you have to have on-job training which will be offered by medical facilities, private homes, nursing homes etc.

After the completion of your CNA classes and practical you have to attend the CNA examination which will declare you as a Certified Nursing Assistant and register you under your state. In some states you can continue CNA job in between your CNA examination and CNA certification. After completion of your CNA certification you can go for a specific field like child care or old age care etc.
