CNA Training

Individual who are interested in serving patients without attending the medical school can opt to pursue Certified Nurse Assistant or CNA training program. CNA training program is designed to prepare an individual for employment in care facility and to provide a better patient care. CNA training plays a very crucial role in healthcare by nurturing the potential of nurses and doctors. CNAs are known with various names like Nurses Aides, Patient Care Technicians, Home Health Aides, Nursing Assistants and more.

CNA training program is mandated in Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act and Section of 1987. It provides the basic outline of training and medical supervision required by certified nurse assistants. Certified Nursing Assistant training varies from state to state.

CNA Training Requirement:

You should have done High School diploma or GEC. Students should be in good physical condition so that thay can stand for a long period, can walk for long hours or must have strength to lift or easily bend for a long time. Individual must have patience, compassion, good health and willing to do all works.

CNA Training Offers:

CNA training contains particular number of hours in theory and clinical or on-job training under the supervision of licensed or registered nurse according to your state. Every state has their registry and training duration.

Apart from all these CNA training also teaches the patient care and interaction, drug interaction and preventions, how to analyze the patients and their disease and many more.

CNA training is available at Career College, Community College and Medical Centers. Some long-term medical and care facilities provide free training for new employees. CNA training fees varies according to the state to state and institutes. Many different online CNA training programs are also available but some of the states do not consider them valid, so select the CNA training very carefully.

After Certified Nurse Assistant training you have to attend a CNA Examination which will qualify you to work as Certified Nurse Assistant. According to some states individual can work for a limited duration in between CNA training and CNA Examination but if indivdual is unable to clear the CNA examination then he can not pursu his career as Certified Nurse Aide. Then you are a registered CNA and can serve the patients.
